Where have you been?! I want to start this off by apologizing profusely to whomever has followed this site up to this point. I’ve honestly been MIA for the last month, and for that I am sorry. I really burned myself out from trying to put on multiple shows a week, keeping up with this site, and trying to develop new projects. I am in the process of narrowing things down, and using my laser-like focus (joking) to kick things off again. If you follow my YouTube channel, you will already notice that I have cut my show there down to once a week. Over the next few months, you will notice my presence here to be a little stronger, while stepping back from working on so many different shows. Don’t worry! The show “Explaining Esoterica” is here to stay! I just won’t be able to run as many side projects at once. I feel like my priority is, and should continue to be my research. I am trying to answer question I want the answers to, so I hope you are ready for that journey to get a little more serious!
Now, if you are saying “Well that’s all good and well Kelly, but where is this e-book I was promised?” I have yet another apology to issue. The burn out, combined with other “events”, caused a delay in the completion of the book. It will be released in about 2-3 weeks, depending on my editor. I PROMISE it is coming out, and will be received by you all before I turn 33…so that gives me and my editor 4 weeks from yesterday to get it out to you! Once that is done, I will happily begin working on my next book, which will be much more substantial in size.
Before I get to the “good stuff”, i.e. my expo breakdown, I just wanted to address the blue elephant in the room. Yes, I am the “whistleblower”. Whether or not you feel the evidence that was released is incriminating or not, it is authentic. I did not Photoshop anything or manufacture a story. What was released really happened. I gave the information to C.W. Chanter, because I felt it was the right thing to do. He and his elderly father had personal information released about them, so I gave him the evidence I had which showed who released that the information. He chose to go live with that information, which I allowed him to do, because again, it felt like the right thing to do. However, I did not anticipate the issue blowing up to the level that it did, and I also did not anticipate my name being released. In his excitement to release the information, he missed striking my name from the metadata. This lead to people starting to realize who I was, and thus we decided to reveal that I was the individual behind the leak. Now, I know that some people have thought or implied that I did this as a marketing plan. It was NOT intended to be that at all. I would much rather gain notoriety for my writing and intelligence, rather than for a leak like this. That being said, I felt that I should address this issue briefly, especially since the stress and activity around it has delayed my research and work here. For this, I also apologize, it was not intended to go down like that, but sometimes you don’t really get a choice in that type of matter. That’s all I really have to say about it, so that is the last I will address it here on this site.
Now, on to the wonder and majesty that was the Conscious Life Expo!
I’ll be totally honest, I did NOT go to any panels or workshops (oops!). I was so caught up in the energy and the people that I for the most part I ended up spending time with wonderful people and had wonderful conversations. This Friday, March 1, there will be a live recap of the expo, with a few good friends helping me out. For now though, I thought I would do a recap of my personal experiences this past weekend.
I left work as early as possible to get to the hotel. Staci and Nancy were already there, and waiting for the party to begin! There were many hugs, and lots of catching up. We ended up staying up a little late hanging out, talking about spirituality, and eating dinner with Lucinda Morel. Once I returned to my room, I started to really get settled in, and was overcome with this need to write something down. I was not sure WHAT I needed to write, I just knew I needed to do it. Thus, I grabbed a notebook (made by Staci btw), and just started uncontrollably writing. It’s hard to describe what I wrote, but really it was a validation of the fact that I was automatic writing, and channeling something. I’m the last person to really talk about channeling, since it’s a complicated thing. However, it was a big deal at the end of the day. It was like having multiple conversations going on at once…one where I was transcribing what was being dictated to me, one where I was asking questions and getting answers, and one where I was pretty much being told that it was authentic. It wasn’t scary or complicated in anyway. It just was…I was told I could channel an entire book, if I wanted to. Thus, that might be something upcoming…we will have to see. It might be interesting to try. By the end of this 30 minute channeling/automatic writing session, I was wiped out, and ended up sleeping pretty deeply.
Meeting up with friends for breakfast ended up being quite an adventure! I was lucky enough to have breakfast with Serena Wright Taylor, astrologist, and one of the masterminds behind the Conscious Life Expo. It was really a nice, fabulous, yet stress free way to start the conference. While at breakfast, Staci and I starting planning out my evening which consisted of an interview with Emery Smith, and a livestream giving people a breakdown of the event. We initially planned on streaming from my bedroom with lots of lights, until someone gave the idea to stream from the Fade to Black booth, since Jimmy would be at a panel. It honestly seemed like a spectacular idea, so I made it my mission to seek out a few people to stop by the booth. The rest of the day flew by, I spent some time meeting new people and catching up with others I hadn’t seen in months. I don’t care what people think, these conferences are also very much about being around like minded people and building some strong friendships!
By about 5:00, I had to start getting ready for my interview with Emery Smith. I remember last year at CLE, I was so excited to hear him speak, as a special guest of David Wilcock. It was very surreal to then be interviewing him myself…face to face. It was short and easy interview, kind of just catching you all up on what he has been up to the past year. I plan to get that up by Monday at the latest, I have to do some light editing before I put it up. I was pretty nervous, I’m not going to lie, so I almost completely skipped out on doing a goodbye at the end of the video.
Immediately after the interview with Emery, Staci and I ran downstairs to the F2B booth to get ready for the livestream. Unfortunately, the internet was terrible. It cut out repeatedly, and ended up just completely dying after about 30 minutes. However, I was able to squeeze in Cheri Arellano, Tracey Ash, and Jiggy from ParanormalHooD, before it fully went out. It was fun to be able to sit at such a popular booth, and interview a few people. I later found out that Jimmy Church had NO CLUE that it had happened, which is hilarious. I suppose I assumed someone had told him at some point, but I guess not!
The rest of the night was spent giggling, going to the bar to hangout, and really just enjoying the ambiance. I will admit that night I was pretty anxious, I was anxious the entire weekend, because I wasn’t sure if there was going to be an sort of retaliation from the whole blue related incident. Luckily, there was not, but I feel like if that wasn’t looming over my head, I probably would have been more relaxed and talkative. Regardless, it was still a fun time.
Saturday and Sunday:
I’m going to combine these two days, since they kind of run together. There was obviously more chatting and laughter. There were some WONDERFUL experiences that occurred highlights include:
- Tracey Ash’s Sacred Woman private event. This event was hosted by Tracey and Cheri Arellano. It was such a great time, having that quiet time away from the hubbub and huge crowds. I believe the live stream video is still up, so you should take some time to watch if you are interested. Tracey is such an amazing person, and her guided meditation and messages were very much on point for what I needed to hear.
- The Billy Carson Dance Party. Billy Carson brought some conscious rappers to CLE, and DJ’ed a concert. It was amazing! The performers were great, and the ambiance was perfect for such a fun and laid back event. There was even some dancing!
- The Plate Incident. Almost a year ago, Staci “stole” a used paper plate from Linda Moulton Howe at an event. This plate has become seriously famous! Spoken about all over YouTube and Twitter. Finally, at this event, Staci was able to get her plate signed by LMH, in an amazing moment I was able to catch on camera.
- The saddest part is goodbye. No one wanted to leave on Sunday night (in fact a few people didn’t!). It was such a fun time, I missed everyone as soon as I left. I really can’t wait for CITD when I can see some of my friends again.
Seriously, it was great, and I am sure I left out a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have that show coming up in a few days, so I can reminisce with others who were there, and who can fill you in on what I missed.
Be sure to also keep a lookout for my next blog post, coming out on Thursday night (fingers crossed!). It will be a metaphysics post, to be followed by a Buddhism post this weekend. I’m back on track, so I hope you are as well!
