Explaining Esoterica

Showcasing Research in Ufology, mythology, consciousness, and ancient civilizations

About Kelly

January 7, 2019 By kelly Leave a Comment

Born and raised in Southern California to a mother from Vietnam and a father from the Midwest, Kelly truly is an example of “East meets West”. The influence of her mother’s Buddhist faith led her to know that there is more to the world than meets the eye. Her personal interactions with the paranormal and metaphysical began when she had a direct ET contact experience as a young child, and continued on from there. Over the last 15 years, she has deeply researched various esoteric and metaphysical subjects from psychic development, to ghost hunting, to the ancient origins of civilization.

A lifelong passion for literature, research, and writing led Kelly to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from one of the top schools in the country, the University of California, Irvine. During her time there, she further honed her research and writing skills, allowing her to critically analyze various types of text. Her interest in ancient civilizations was sparked during her studies of Latin as her foreign language. She became so enamored by the mythology and history of the Greeks and Romans that she ended up minoring in Classical Civilizations. While attending the university, Kelly began to develop many ideas and theories about early cultures and their true origins. She is currently researching both Eastern and Western cultures and mythology with the goal to bridge the history of the two.

As a young child, Kelly was identified as “gifted”, and placed into special classes to ensure that she remained engaged in her studies. This eventually led her to test and become a member of Mensa. Because of her special schooling and exposure to different thought processes, she is able to look at information from various sources and make connections that might not be as obvious to the casual researcher. This has allowed her to develop and work on multiple shows in the past, as well as her current projects including 2 youtube shows, a podcast, and the development of several books.

I have had the opportunity to interact with Kelly professionally as her researcher and her co-host on prior projects. I have always been consistently awed by her intelligence powered curiosity, her persistence in providing information to the community with a constant framework of integrity and the positive energy that radiates from her.

Now as a listener of her show, I value the fact that her intuitive questioning will get to the heart of what I was wondering!

Kelly Farmer has all of the standard qualities of a good researcher: She is open-minded and also uses critical thinking; she is diligent, patient, and focused; she keeps current with updated knowledge and is passionate about her areas of interest; and she is resourceful and inventive in gathering information. I particularly respect her nonjudgmental and critical reasoning approach.

From the interaction I have had and seen, Kelly excels at both independent and collaborative research. She uses multiple sources, and works hard to establish the credibility of each source. When a source may be less than credible, she does call it out.

Kelly has an excellent communicative skill set, and able to explain complex topics in an accessible way. She is personable and approachable, so she is able to establish rapport with her subjects (often interviewees) and fellow researchers. She truly has a collaborative and cooperative mindset.

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Kelly Farmer for her Podcast called, “Explaining Esoterica”. I felt like I was having a conversation with a dear friend and never felt like I was ‘on stage’ or ‘put on the spot’. She is super easy to talk to. Kelly also does a fantastic job at diving deeply into the esoteric world and I have a huge respect for her unique ability to bridge scientific research with esoteric principles, which she does in a way that’s comfortable and easy for anyone to understand.
